Coronavirus outbreak caught everyone off guard, and as a result, we are sentenced to self-isolating at least until this whole craziness goes away. Even though we can’t control too much of how the situation evolves we don’t need to despair and focus more on what can we do to do this as enjoyable and productive as possible in this quarantine time.
It is not the end!
I have been thinking about how bad this situation was, and get caught on a rail of thoughts leading to the conclusion that this is the worst… You can’t go out, can’t keep up with your daily routine and we’re forced to live for weeks inside the house with minimum contact with the outer world. But it doesn’t have to be all bad.
After a little bit of thinking, I arrived at the conclusion this may be a good thing. It leaves a lot of time to self-reflect, meditate and reconsider all of the things you took for granted. Plus you have plenty of time to do stuff you never really had the chance to do because of your busy schedule.
Therefore, I’m happy to give you guys some tips on how to make this isolation more enjoyable and productive, and what are the actions you shouldn’t miss on.
5 things to do while in Isolation!
Number 1: Workout
It’s not that fun that you cant keep up with your gym regimen or your running habit. You don’t want to lose all the progress you recorded in those workout hours, and actually, you don’t have to!
There are a ton of home workouts here on the internet for everybody with different levels of intensity, volume and difficulty. If you want to still be in shape search on youtube or browse the web for workouts that suit your needs. You will be surprised by how much you can do using no equipment, and just your bodyweight.
If you don’t like to search and build your program alone, just download an app on google play or Appstore. These apps allow you to keep track of your progress and offer many built programs.
The bottom line is, when it comes to workout, you can solve this problem pretty easily. And for those who wanted to start a training regime, here is your time to shine!
Number 2: read books
Maybe you’re a hardcore reader already, and books may have been your main source of entertainment during this quarantine time. If you never get into the habit of reading, well is not like you have so much stuff going on in your life… So you may very well begin now.
For readers, I would recommend changing the type of books you normally read. Don’t read only fiction or non-fiction books. Explore a little bit so you won’t get bored. If you read regularly chances are, you already know what you like. Therefore I’m not going any further in this matter with you.
But for those who want to start, now is the best timing. Read the books you already have in your house, or if you want to read the series you always wanted to explore. Search it on online platforms that allow you to read it online. Personally I read my books and listen to my audios on Scribd. The subscription is 10$ a month. So basically nothing compared with the unlimited access that offers you.
For beginners, I have the same advice as for the ones that already do read a lot. Experiment, see what you like, discover new genres and fell in love with reading! This is how you make sure this habit will stick!
Number 3: Play games!
Who said quarantine time has to be boring? There are so many games you can play, and so many different genres to try on. Even if you are a hardcore gamer, a newbie who wants to have some fun, or a retired one who rediscovers the pleasure of video-games, this is the best time to take advantage of.
I felt bored one day and thought about gaming for a while. I started with games I played as a child but never finished. The nostalgia and the fun were priceless. If you consider playing games, start right away!
Be careful not to overdo it! It is easy to get sucked in the game and play for hours and hours on end. This is not good for your circulation, back or eyes. Take frequent breaks. Let your body and mind take a rest from time to time.
Number 4: Build a new habit!
In this quarantine time, you can take some action and build new habits. It is the perfect time to start. You always in the house, you have no distractions and is easy to keep track.
We already spoke about 2 habits you have to build: Reading and exercising. But there is a lot more to do… Cold showers, meditation, cooking, eating healthier. You can even break bad habits like smoking. The more creative you are the easier this will get. take advantage and build some badass habits that will kickstart your life!
Take it slowly but steady. take small steps and improve daily. This will be the formula for your success when building habits.
Number 5: Family time!
Quarantine time, family time. This should be your motto for this time of the year. Profit from this experience and build closer relationships with your loved ones, or rebuild them. Solve your differences, and begin to understand the other person.
I moved out when started college and distanced myself from my family. We barely talked and saw them every other week on the weekend. So in a month, I would see them 4 days at best… Which wasn’t always the case.
That’s why I want to make myself stay with them more. Hagging around, talking, playing games. You will miss these days one day. You don’t want to have regret that you didn’t spend more time with the ones you love.
If you leave alone:
Don’t let that discourage you. Call them, chat online with friends and family. I know is hard to be alone, and if you are the outgoing and adventured type, who always wants to be outside this is torture. But bare with us, have some fun, play games, read books, build habits. You will go through it!
This quarantine time doesn’t have to be that bad. You can enjoy it if you think about it as a time you experience and try new things. Change your mindset and you will change your life. Stay safe, stay healthy, and together we will come through with it!
Let’s face some facts: It doesn’t matter how motivated you are to stick to a goal, there will be days when you will feel a little bit off… It happens, is normal, and is not big-a-deal.
But it sure is not pleasing when you need that summer body, but you aren’t quite in the mood for the gym. Or when you really wish to finish that book, but you don’t want to write today. Here are some tips you need to use to motivate yourself in your “off” days.
Some of those will work automatically, but some of them are meant to build some sort of habit, so you can work even when your motivation fuel is low! So without any further ado, let’s break them down and start to motivate yourself on “off” days!
I know is not the most fun thing you can do, but sometimes you are just too worked out. Try to stop for a second, close your eyes and focus only on your breathing. This way, you can reset your brain.
If you weren’t in the mood to work, maybe after this your mind will shift. For most of the times this does the trick. If you want to know how to meditate better we have an article for you right here!
Make a work playlist
Work playlists are your own mixtape to get the job done. I have a playlist I listen only when working, and another one when I’m going to the gym. It is very important to NOT listen to your work playlist when you are not working.
You want to trick your brain to enter the work-zone when you hear a certain soundtrack. This is one tip that works if done repeatedly, even when you are in the mood. Just make that playlist to motivate yourself on “off” days!
If you don’t know what I am talking about, let me explain. Pomodoro technique is used to make yourself start working when you are not in the mood, or when you want to be extra-productive. I advise you to do it all the time.
It’s a really simple technique. You work for 25 minutes, and after that, you take a break for 5 minutes. The thing is, you hit your productivity peak at 15 minutes of work. After those, you will get less productive by the minute.
Is a great way to start your job, the cause is only 25 minutes, it ain’t that long. The best thing is that most of the time you will want to continue working. Which is what you were struggling in the first place.
Talk to someone
Sometimes, we are so caught up in our life, we forget to keep connections with our friends and family. If you find yourself into an unmotivated rut, just talk to someone, see what they been up to, make contact.
More often then not, you will be motivated on some extent, and who knows, maybe even inspired. And as a plus, you get to talk to someone dear to you! it will help motivate yourself in an “off” day.
Chunk it up
Projects can be very intimidating, and your lack of motivation can be caused by that. But if that is the problem, the solution is very simple: Chunk your project into tiny pieces.
You don’t want to go to the gym because it requires much work. You have to pack your gym clothes, dress up, actually go/drive to the gym, and when you get there you have to work out.
But if you look at it as many small things you need to do, it becomes easier! Is not hard to pack the clothes, not to dress up, then to walk… please, is easy peasy. When you workout, you already chunked the work into sets and reps. So you are good to go!
Discipline=Freedom. This is a truth not many of us are aware of, but it is certainly a fact. If you are disciplined enough to do something even if you are so not in the mood, you are free to do anything you want.
There are a lot of topics here, and we already covered it up into another article about discipline right here!
Discipline is not easy to attain but it is not impossible either. It’s a habit, so it must be done as much as you can. as Aristotle said “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit”. Make a habit to motivate yourself in an “off” day.
The 5-second rule
The 5-second rule is an easy technique you can do literally any day, at any time, to make sure you are as productive as possible. Basically, when you don’t want to do something, count from 5 to 1. When you say 1, you just do what you don’t want to do.
Is that simple?
Actually, this is how I got myself to write this article. I had an “off” day, I meditated, chunked my projects, even talk with my girlfriend about it, and in the end, I counted. And as you can see, I wrote the article and post it! If I can motivate myself, you can too!
This is it guys! These are our tips to help you motivate yourself on “off” days. Please comment below if any of our advice helped you, and give even more tricks you use when you are unmotivated
If you are here, then you must feel constrained by the amount of clutter in your house. Let’s face it, we’ve all been there and we all felt like the walls were closing in on us. But you can most certainly make your house look less crowded. How do you do that?
The good part is, you don’t have to be an interior designer to make a few changes in your house in order to create a perfect, cozy space without feeling crowded by the amount of clutter in your house.
Because we’ve been in the same situation as you are, we decided to help a little bit with some tips and tricks, that hopefully will transform your home in an ideal space for you and your family.
Rearrange the furniture
Sometimes, all you need is to rearrange the pieces of furniture in your home and your room will change completely.
Try to move the bigger pieces, (like the sofa, for example) to the back of the room, leaving the center and the entrances empty. By doing this, you will allow free movement in the room.
However, don’t move all the furniture too close to the wall. Space has to feel balanced out and well-put-together. One tip is to move the furniture a few inches from the wall or move some of the smaller pieces away from the wall.
Keep the house clean
I think this goes without saying: a decluttered home has to remain clean. Keeping organized is the key element in having a spacious, decluttered space.
And, because I know that becoming an organized person isn’t a simple task, we have some guides that may help you keep your home clutter-free once and for all!
Choosing a color scheme is a very important factor when creating a room that feels less crowded. A room can look less crowded and open when keeping in mind a good color scheme.
You may say that choosing the colors may seem complicated and a task for an interior designer. And it is true. An interior designer will always work keeping in mind the color scheme that the client chose. But that doesn’t mean you can’t do it.
If you want to increase the openness of the room, opt for light colors, like white or pastel colors. Avoid using bold or dark colors for the walls. This will only close up space. The light colors will reflect light and the room will look less crowded, warmer and more open.
If you are interested in more color theory and how to choose the perfect color scheme for your home, check out our article!
Painting the ceiling
Another tip for you is to paint the ceiling in a different color. By doing this, it will make the walls seem taller and the room bigger. You don’t have to go for bold colors if you don’t want to.
I know some of you are afraid of making a big change like that in your home. Just keep it classy and see what works for you.
Storage space, storage space…and more storage space! One thing that I learned from leaving in a studio is that the storage space is the most important thing when wanting to have a decluttered space.
There are so many smart ways in which you can do that, from having a sofa with storage space underneath or investing in storage baskets or drawer dividers. You may be tempted to toss keys, purses, umbrellas, mail and so on as soon as you enter the house. Choose to put everything in place and your home will look clean and less crowded!
Play with textures and patterns
This is where the fun begins! Don’t decorate a room by making everything match. Sure, you don’t have to go crazy with the colors and the textures either.
Try to create a balanced space. In a room where everything matches, you feel the need to add more pieces that match so you will end up with a cluttered room.
One tip is to choose the piece of furniture that will stand out and then balance the space around that piece. Don’t just add the same color everywhere. After choosing the most important piece, keep the colors in the same color scheme and don’t go overboard!
Another tip is to use stripes for a rug, for example. It will make the room seem longer and more spacious.
It is important to let your eyes rest once in a while, or your room will start to feel overwhelming.
Let there be light!
The light will most certainly change the space completely. A room that has no light will automatically feel closed up and cluttered.
More light equals more open space. This is what you need. Natural light is ideal if you have the opportunity. If you don’t make sure your light is powerful enough to light up the whole room.
You can even add lamps, candles, whatever suits your design.
Opt for fewer decorations
I know, we all tend to add more and more decorations. We get excited and then we fill up the whole room with unnecessary decorations that actually make space look cluttered.
Try to build up space according to a design you already established. This is another mistake that I did. I just added more and more decorations that I liked but didn’t go at all with my design so I ended up with a crowded room.
Keep in mind the size when choosing the furniture
“The bigger the better” doesn’t work in this case. If you have a smaller room, choose the furniture according to the size. A bigger and bulkier sofa, for example, will only crowd up the room.
In contrast, a smaller one will allow maximum traffic flow around the room and it will make space look bigger and cleaner.
Divide the spaces: A divided space will give the impression of an organized space and this is exactly what you need! You can opt for smaller rugs and place them under the most important areas.
Hang your curtains higher: This will make your space look less crowded and taller.
Always hide the cords
Close the doors of the drawers
This is it, guys! We hope this article helped you!
“Unf*ck Yourself” by Gary John Bishop is one of the best books I read this year! It is short, funny, straight to the point, and incredibly honest. So honest that you can’t help but feel offended sometimes.
But don’t worry, everything you are about to read in this book is true, based on the experience of Gary Bishop, who is one of the leading Personal Development experts in the industry. So without any further ado, let’s dive into the concepts of this book!
First of all, you need to understand that this book gives you advice on what you can do to change your life. It is not a guaranteed recipe for success, and the advice you are about to here may or may not offend you.
As you can see from the title, Gary Bishop doesn’t chat around and doesn’t beat around the corner. He is direct in his approach but the words he speaks have a lot of value and can add tons of value in your life, as he did to mine.
First thing first: you talk to yourself. this is no question about it. You may not use your actual voice, but you talk to yourself! Every day! You have 50,000 thoughts in a single day, and not all of these thoughts are about what you will do. Some of those… many of those, are about how you can’t do stuff, how you are too lazy to lose weight, too weak to quit smoking, or too unorganized to save some money.
This negative self-talk is not good for you, and it only makes you beat yourself up, become unmotivated to change something about your life, and regret afterward… Because you can’t get yourself motivated if the only thing that you tell yourself is how lazy you are to go to the gym.
This book offers you seven personal assertions that you can use to turn your life around and to unf*ck yourself, and get the life you always wanted!
Unf*ck yourself: I am willing!
I bet you have in your living area where you are not satisfied. Maybe you want to be in better shape, you want to quit a bad habit, you struggle financially.
You have some sort of problem, and maybe it is not your fault that you have this problem. But it is certainly your fault if you’re not going to do anything about it.
And I’m sure you tried to do, you struggled but you always ended up in the same place… and this is so frustrating. But take a minute and think about how many times did you had negative self-talk?
How many times did you say you were too lazy, or too stupid, or too weak or too busy to do something?
The thing is, maybe you are all of the above, and this is okay! Just because you are like this now, it doesn’t mean is who you are as a human being, or who you’ll be from now on! You have the power to change it. But are you willing to change it?
This assertion is the best one you could start with! It is the one that will shape your wantings and needs. It will make it easier for you if done correctly.
The truth is, you will not change if you tell yourself how lazy you are… But if you tell yourself that you are willing your brain will connect neurons differently, and you will slowly make yourself believe you can do it.
I am unwilling
Instead of saying “I’m too lazy to lose weight”, tell yourself “I am willing to lose weight”.
But what happens if when you say this, you have an “I am not feeling so willing” feeling? Change the assertion to “I’m am unwilling to live in an unhealthy body”. See how the opposite works for you.
Sometimes you are not willing to do something. But you are unwilling to live like this anymore!
” I am willing” not “I want”!
What am I about to say may upset you a little bit: You are not willing to do everything you want to do! This is a true statement, and that is why the assertion is “I am willing” instead of “I want”!
You may “want” to do things that you don’t want for numerous reasons: Because your family said so, because of the pressure from your friends, because this is the standard in society, etc.
Are you willing to be an engineer? Or does your mother want you to be one? Do you really want to cut all the sugar you eat? Or your friends told you that you can’t date girls because of a dad bud?
I will say it again! This assertion doesn’t ask you what you want to do! It asks you what you really are willing to do.
In conclusion, you can shape your life, and see where are the areas where you actually can make a change!
Ask yourself every day, and every night, when you drive, when you eat, when you shower: Am I willing? Or am I unwilling? This is the first step to Unf*ck yourself!
I am wired to win
Here is some good news for you!
You are wired to win!
Your brain is trying to find the solutions to make you win at everything in your life! What’s that? you’re not winning? Well, that’s because you play the wrong game…
Your brain will find answers to make you do the stuff you need to do. But your brain has a pattern that must be followed. So if you have a bad habit, your brain will think that you must do it, because you do it often, and causes you pleasure.
You want to make new friends, but you keep telling yourself that it is going to be hard, because you are socially awkward, don’t know how to initiate contact, and don’t know how to make new friends. Well, your brain will make you win at this game by not letting you do anything to make new friends or connections!
What is the solution?
Make a plan on how you will act! And do that plan even if you feel resistance. Your brain helps you make what he thinks is right, you, on the other hand, must show him that you want something else! If you do that long enough and you consciously act the way you want to act, your brain will get the memo and help you act that way.
Make a plan, follow it, and tell yourself you are wired to win, and you will unf*ck yourself!
Unf*ck Yourself: I got this
This chapter makes you realize two things:
You come a long way
2. You can go even further!
It explains why you shouldn’t be scared of future adversities. You must understand that you can withstand everything that life throws at you.
There is one trick you can use to be able to see it too. Imagine that you are in a car, there is a one-way street that you are driving. To your left is your past. All the things you did, you failed or succeed at, that made you feel pride or shame. Take your time to think about it.
Now at your right are the future bumps, the next ups, and downs. Now that you see what you’ve been through, you are more capable of understanding that you can go past future adversities. You have been strong in the past, so there is no reason for you to think that you will not be in the future.
So tell yourself you got this!
Unf*ck Yourself: I embrace the uncertainty
We, humans, as a race, lived in times where we needed to be very careful about a bunch of stuff. Like predators, poisonous snakes, spiders, and plants. So to keep us into a safe place, we don’t enjoy being pushed outside of our comfort zone.
The bad thing is… all the things you want are in the uncertainty. Everything you want to do, all the people you want to meet, all the experience you want to have, are on the other side of the gate.
But your biological systems just don’t like to be pushed that way, even though that means not getting what you want. We love the certainty because is comfortable, and warm, and cuddly. But is not what you need to do in order to grow.
It is impossible to guarantee certainty, but the uncertainty is guaranteed. And as Teddy Roosevelt said, “The right choice is your best option, the wrong choice is your second best option, and the worst option is to do nothing”.
Don’t think too much in these situations, go and do something, you will be wrong sometimes, you will fail sometimes, but that’s what you need to do to unf*ck yourself! I embrace the uncertainty.
Unf*ck Yourself: I am not my thoughts, I am what I do
This is the assertion that made me feel a little uncomfortable. But as it is unpleasant to hear, it is also true. You are not what you think; you are what you constantly do.
If you think you will go to the gym the next day, you are not going to the gym, you planning to go to the gym. One will bring you results, the other one will bring your motivation up, but then back down.
But this is not entirely bad. Remember when we said that you should not have negative thoughts about yourself? Well, if you are not what you think, then those thoughts are not that important.
I’m not saying that you should not do an effort to change the way you thinking. But I do say that you should act opposite of what you negatively think.
If you say you are lazy, and the project you work on is too big for you. Then get to work and try to create a proactive plan in order to finish the project on time. This takes discipline too, I agree. If you don’t know how to be disciplined, we have an article about it right here.
But with that being said, act on the stuff you want, and finish the project you want to finish. You are not what you think, you are what you do, so go and unf*ck yourself.
Unf*ck Yourself: I am relentless
You know, sometimes people will be against you, and try to bring you down. On other occasions maybe even you will try to bring you down. But if you are really willing to change something about life, and you are so determined to do that, then you must be relentless.
Being relentless is doing what it needs to be done, without having a second thought. Is doing what you should do even though you don’t think you can actually pull it through.
You just work and hustle all the way. And while you do it, you are focusing only on the task at hand!
Don’t try to visualize what your next move will be. Don’t visualize what you’re next plan is going to be. focus on what you are doing, pour all the effort into that, and I guarantee you, you will do it!
Be relentless, and unf*ck yourself!
Unf*ck Yourself: I expect nothing, and accept everything
Always save the best for last.
To tell you the truth, this assertion is my favorite, because it does not only makes a lot of sense, but is so liberating, and easy to do too. Basically, Gary Bishop says that you should not have any expectations. You shouldn’t dream with your eyes wide open, because the truth is, it will never happen the way you imagine. And as a result, you will be sad about it!
Now, that does not mean you shouldn’t make plans, or have some vision of your own. But don’t marry them. Do a plan, execute it, and change it along the way, accept that is not how you imagined, and you need to change it in order to succeed.
We are obsessed with expectations
We like to do it! It makes us comfortable. It is easier to guess than to experience it ourselves. But this is the worst thing you can do.
The thing is, you do it all the time. You expect your significant other to act a certain way. Maybe you had a bad day at work, and you expect them to bright up your day. But they had to a bad day at work, so they are not in the mood to cheer you up.
Or you expect your family to buy you something meaningful for your birthday, but they had so many on their head that they just but you something you can use around the house, so you’re happy, but kind of disappointed.
Accept it as it is
But what if you never expect anything anymore. You just wait to see what happens and then control your reaction based on the live experience? To be honest, chances are you will not be disappointed. Why? You can’t compare what you experience with what you created in your mind. You never created anything in the first place. And instead of being sad about it, you will have your full attention on the matter. Therefore, you will be more productive.
And now picture the last scenario from this point of view. You don’t expect anything special for your birthday, but your family gives you something you can use around the house. So it is a plus every way you want to look at it.
As far as I’m concerned, this mentality of expecting nothing, accept anything, is a certain way of living a happy life. So accept everything the life throws at you and unf*ck yourself!
We live in a world where distractions are everywhere. As a result, you end up having a short attention span that we should, which affects our work, life and even relationships. We acknowledge the importance of staying focused on our life. So, in this article, we will talk about how to focus more on important tasks.
We have the attention span of 6 seconds. It’s the same length as for a goldfish… Chances are you already been distracted until you reached this part of the article.
So why is this happening?
As I said before, we live in a world where distractions are all among us. Television, loud noises, kids playing, phone notifications, emails, or even our own mind can make us lose concentration and cause us hours of work weekly.
Even though this is a severe problem, it doesn’t mean that we can’t do something about it. Even more, we can do some simple practices to train our focus to last longer. So here are our tips on how to focus more:
[Disclaimer: Some of the links in this post may include affiliate links. This means that I get a commission if you purchase the product through my link at no extra cost to you.]
You want to stay focused for more time and we bring this meditation into discussion… So what about it? Meditation is a mindfulness practice. This means it will train your brain to be engaged with the present ignoring any distracting thought you may have at some point in your work time.
I usually meditate first thing in the morning for 10 minutes. I focus only on my breath, and every time I catch myself daydreaming, I pull myself back to where I was. This way, I’m training my mind to be more aware of this slippery thoughts and to push me back into work when I need it!
But be aware of the fact that you will not become a focus master after one session. The focus span will build with time, and your quality of work will slowly but steadily increase.
Pomodoro technique is one of the best productivity tools you have at your disposal. It’s easy to use, and the results are, at least in my case, visible from the first session.
So what is the Pomodoro technique? Well, simply put, it is working for a 25 minute period, and then taking a break for another 5. You will keep doing this process as long as you need to. But I recommend 4 times. This way you will have 2 hours work-sessions.
How does it work? It is really simple. You are not productive from the get-go, you increase in productivity until you hit a peak, and from that point, your productivity decreases. The peak is at 15 minutes. After that you start to lose it, you will lose concentration, focus, and even interest.
The 5-minute break is to reset your brain. After those 5 minutes, you can start over and have another productive session where you will stay focused longer, helping you finish tasks quicker and better.
What should this suppose to mean? I know it sounds silly, but let me explain. Your brain likes the routine and uses some external factors to figure out what will happen next.
For example: If you’re hungry and you smell food, your mouth will secrete saliva because is preparing for eating. Or, this is why specialist advises you to use your bed only for sleeping. Because where you go to bed, your brain knows it’s time to sleep.
So what is that playlist about though?
You need to find a playlist that you listen only to where you work. In time, your brain will get used to listening to that playlist only when you are working. As a result, you will stay focused more on the task at hand.
The most important piece of advice about this tip is: you shouldn’t listen to that playlist anywhere else or while doing anything else but work. It will lose effectiveness and you will have to find another one.
Another important advice for this tip is to use a playlist with instrumental music only. The part of the brain responsible for thinking is also responsible for the understanding of human speech. So if a person is singing, your brain will focus on that, making you lose focus!
Turn off your notification
I’m saying your notification and not wi-fi because you may need your phone at work. In high school years, I had a lot of housework on my phone because we couldn’t buy that specific exercise book because it was old.
Therefore, we took a picture of the pages, and we look at that picture to read the question. And I wasn’t always turning off the notification. Therefore, I would lose time answering messages or surfing the Internet.
If you don’t need your phone to work, then I would advise you to not use it at all. Turn off the internet, put it aside, and finish your work before touching it again!
Create a workspace
Your workspace is your sacred place where you will do all your work. The way this function is the exact same way as with the playlist. You have a space that you use for work and work only.
This way your brain will know that it is time for you to get some job done, so it will concentrate more, making you stay focused and more productive.
Chunks are defined as small goals you must achieve in your journey of completing a bigger one.
Let’s say you need to write a five-page essay, and it is due next week. Well, you can start researching in day one, make a draft on day two, and then write a page every day, or take a break after you write a page.
Anyway, your goals should be to create chunks small enough for you to complete, but big enough to be a challenge. If it is too hard to do it, you will stress too much and quit. If it is too easy, you will get bored… and quit.
Chunks must have a deadline, and it must be measurable in some way. If done correctly they will boost your focus, because you will work on a very specific topic, and your brain will go into a single direction!
